COMPANIES

Comcentric IT Solutions provides clients with the latest Web 2.0 technologies and social networking — skills that require well-trained employees, which Concentric tries to attract and retain by showing how much the company values them. “This is important because it helps with retention, and it helps us deliver better service to our clients,” said Eric Grenier, managing director, president and CEO of Comcentric, who started the company in 2003. Comcentric offers staffing services, mainly on a contract basis, to many large companies, and also provides internal information technology resources, for both project upgrades and implementations.

Comcentric offers employees a full benefits package, commissions and bonuses.

In addition, the company offers referral incentives to those who help bring in new employees. Everyone goes out to lunch for every employee’s birthday. Also, Comcentric arranges “welcome lunches,” where the office goes out to lunch to welcome every new worker. Comcentric regularly holds team-building events, such as bowling and riding go-karts, on a work day. The company has a relaxed dress code, but workers understand to dress appropriately if they’re meeting with a client. “It helps us attract like-minded people to our organization,” Grenier said. “Our incentives help drive recruiting the best of the best.”
